1 Peter 4:10 reads thus: “As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” Sacristans are persons in charge of the sacristy. They stay close to the sacred vessels and vestments. They prepare the sacred host and the sacred wine which will become the sacred body and sacred blood of Jesus during the Holy Qurbana. Therefore, they should be striving for holiness along with the congregation. They are expected to be persons of integrity and must be dependable. They assist at the liturgical services especially the Holy Qurbana. They set up the church and prepare for the holy Eucharist .Sacristans make a lot of sacrifice for the congregation so that the believers can get closer to God. Their life witnessing should be a model for the altar servers and the community at large.
