Recently during the 2024 Olympics held in Paris, a very shocking introductory ceremony displayed mockery of the Last Supper.

In our Catholic Faith, the Last Supper plays a vital role. During this time Jesus instituted the Holy Eucharist, giving up his body for us to eat and his blood for us to drink. It was a moment of great sacrifice and deep reverence. However, this beautiful moment was mocked at the Paris Olympics by having drag queens imitating the Last Supper. The imagery of Christ and his disciples was distorted and what was seen holy was displayed as profane.

As Catholics, we know in the prophecies that in the last days people will mock the promises of Christ and the gospels. The events at the Paris Olympics, where this atrocious mockery of the precious Last Supper occurred show the profanity of this world.
